I have a HDTV "monitor" (no hd tuner) and a HD Antenna and a DTV Convertor box. How can I get HD w/o Cable?
In most areas you just need to attach a TV antenna to a HD tuner box and then connect the HD tuner to the monitor with either a HDMI cable or component video cables.
If you have a coupon type converter box it can receive all digital over the air broadcasts, including "HD" ones. But it will convert them all to the old non-HD analog type signals. You can use composite cables to hook your converter to your monitor, but you will not get a "HD" quality picture. However if your TV screen is less than about 32", the quality might be good enough for you.
If your monitor doesn't have composite inputs, then it's not practical to hook your coupon type converter to your HDTV monitor.
See link below for popular HD tuner with HD outputs. That's what your monitor was designed to work with.
